Valleywag intern posts first blog - we’re the stars!

The well-known Silicon Valley gossip rag has kicked off the academic year with what must be a post from a new intern.

The aspiring online media pundit got most of their facts right, including the successful copy-pasting of a quote in the body of their blog and the correct citation of Esther Dyson as an investor in Flickr. There was just one wee little misstatement, probably just a lack of coffee and professional experience. And we’ll give’em props, he correctly pointed out a concern we all have about crowdsourcing and rating of opinion, (although they stopped short of going full-bore on post-modernity).

He did forget to include any links at all, to us or to any other cited subject within the blog entry. We got massive graphic real estate, but their readers are forced to exhume their hands from their mice and coffee mugs and actually do some typing (unless they’re right-click aficionadios). But, all in all, a good first outing for the tot and we’re pleased to be a part of it.
